Emma Helen Doran

Macksville ? Services for Emma Helen Doran, 86, Macksville, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Grace United Methodist Church, Macksville. Burial will be in Farmington Cemetery, Macksville.

Mrs. Doran died Saturday, Aug. 9, 2003, at Pratt Regional Medial Center.

She was born Jan. 31, 1917, in Larned, the daughter of George and Anna Margaret (Kaufman) Frick.

Mrs. Doran was a Zook High School graduate and a 1939 Kansas State University graduate. She was a homemaker and teacher, having taught in Toronto, Manhattan and Macksville school districts.

Mrs. Doran was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star since 1948, as well as the Grace United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and American Legion Auxiliary.

She married Vernon L. Doran on May 17, 1941, in Manhattan. He died Sept. 8, 1975.

Survivors include a son, James Doran, St. John; two daughters, Jeanne Scott, Lawrence, and Janet Crane, Great Bend; a sister, Evelyn Van Vleet, Garden City; and nine grandchildren.

Friends may call from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. today at Minnis Chapel, Stafford.
