KSU football players charged

? Two Kansas State football players have been arrested for their alleged involvement in an incident last June in Aggieville.

Senior safety James McGill was charged with one count of battery and senior running back Daniel Davis with two counts of theft. Both are free on $500 bonds.

The victim connected to the charges was identified by Lt. Kurt Moldrup of the Riley County police department as Jeremy Graham.

Graham was punched in the face during the altercation, Moldrup said. Graham’s wallet also was stolen and was valued at $26, Moldrup said.

Another victim, Spencer Coatney, also was identified in the Riley County police report. Coatney’s mother, Carol Mallicoat, said her son suffered facial injuries, which required surgery, as well as nerve damage. Coatney is from Ottawa.

In addition to the charge stemming from the theft of the wallet, Davis also was charged with one count of theft for a shoplifting violation at an Aggieville convenience store, Moldrup said.
