During the July meeting of the Kanwaka 4-H Club, Shon Price and Scott Bronaski led the flag salute. Members answered roll call by telling Laffy Taffy jokes.

The club had its farm tour and minifair July 20. The club recognized Scott Bronaski, who is leaving the club to attend college. The Keslers gave a talk on ballet techniques

  • Katie Jo Wohletz, junior president, presided over the July 14 meeting of the Four Leaf Clover 4-H Club. Members answered roll call by telling what is under their bed. Jared Tefft lead the group in singing “Grand Ole Flag.” Patrick Pottorff, junior secretary, read minutes of the last meeting.

Paula Aiken, community leader, reminded the club about horticulture judging, photo mounting and pin applications. She also discussed club responsibilities for the Douglas County Free Fair.

Jim Ashcraft and Garrett Jones gave a presentation about woodworking. Jared Tefft, Max Iverson, Tobias Groene, Aaron Groene, Ben Markley, Patrick Pottorff and Weston Allen gave a project talk about rocketry. Kelly Flanders, Faryle Scott and Katie Jo Wohletz gave a presentation about citizenship. Adam Whelan presented a talk about bicycle pedals, and Janell Tefft talked about bicycle equipment. Colin Hamel gave a project talk about his art sculptures.

The club recognized Colin Hamel, who is leaving the club to attend college.
