Raptors ailing against Nets

? Toronto guard Alvin Williams sat out the Raptors’ game against New Jersey Saturday night, leaving the club with only seven healthy players in uniform.

NBA rules mandate that teams dress eight players, so Williams was on the bench for the game. Rookie Chris Jefferies earned the start with Williams out.

Toronto also is missing Vince Carter (ankle), Antonio Davis (groin), Eric Montross (foot), Lamond Murray (foot) Hakeem Olajuwon (back), Maceo Baston (ankle), Lindsay Hunter (back) and Voshon Lenard (knee).
