Chipotle to raise money for Humane Society
Lawrence Humane Society will be the beneficiary of proceeds from a benefit Thursday at Chipotle Mexican Grill’s new location, Sixth Street and Monterey Way.
From 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, patrons can buy a burrito or order of tacos, chips and salsa or guacamole and a drink for a $5 donation. All proceeds go to the society.
A jazz ensemble will play at the event, and dogs and puppies from the shelter will be in the parking lot.
The new Chipotle location opens for regular business on Friday.
