Stacie L. Neis
Eudora ? Services for Stacie L. Neis, 37, Eudora, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Eudora. Burial will be in Eudora Cemetery.
Ms. Neis died Friday, April 11, 2003, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
She was born June 15, 1965, in Lawrence, the daughter of Charles and Julia (Sluder) Neis. She was a lifelong resident of Eudora and attended Eudora public schools. She graduated from Eudora High School in 1983 and attended Kansas University.
Ms. Neis was a full-time reporter for The Eudora News from 1989 to 1999 and for The DeSoto Explorer from 1998 to 1999 and as a part-time reporter from September 2002 until her death. She most recently was an office manager at Hurst’s Fine Diamonds.
She was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ.
Survivors include her parents and a sister, Stephanie Neis, all of Eudora.
Friends may call from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at Warren-McElwain Eudora Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The family suggests memorials to the church or Cancer Center at KU Med, sent in care of the mortuary, 1003 John L. Williams Drive, Eudora.
