Evelyn Dale Morton

Mrs. Morton died Thursday, April 10, 2003, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

She was born April 7, 1921, the daughter of George F. and Orah Maude (Beebe) Bauer. She moved to Lawrence from Larned in 1974.

Mrs. Morton was a homemaker and member of First Presbyterian Church in Larned.

She married Beverly C. Morton Sr. on July 6, 1939, in Larned. He survives of the home.

Other survivors include four sons, Beverly Morton Jr., Lawrence, Larry D. Morton, Winter Springs, Fla., Robert W. Morton, Denton, Texas, and Richard A. Morton, Shawnee; three daughters, Marilyn Turner, Dodge City, Carrie Werth, Olathe, and Lori Ward, Baldwin; a brother, Harold L. Bauer, Larned; 22 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.

The family suggests memorials to the American Lung Assn. or Foundation Fighting Blindness- National Retinitis Pigmentosa Foundation, sent in care of the funeral home.
