Rape prevention agency receives CDC grant

The Douglas County Rape Victim-Survivor Service was awarded one of four grants from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for projects designed to prevent first-time sexual violence offenses in males.

Grant money will be used to create evaluation plans, develop data collection instruments, collect and analyze data to assess project activities and share findings with others in the field.

The grant was awarded through the Kansas Department of Health and Environment and is administered by the Governor’s Office of Federal Grant Programs.
