KU baseball changes upcoming schedule

A snow storm pounding the Midwest has forced Kansas University’s baseball team to alter its schedule for the week.

Weather forecasts are calling for snow in the Macomb, Ill., area today and Tuesday, leading to the postponement of today’s scheduled doubleheader against Western Illinois.

Instead, the Jayhawks will travel to Western Illinois for a doubleheader starting at noon Thursday, then to Lubbock, Texas, for Friday’s opening game of a three-game Big 12 Conference series against Texas Tech.

The Jayhawks also picked up a game against Baker at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Hoglund Ballpark because Creighton won’t be able to make the trip for Wednesday’s game at KU because of heavy snow in Nebraska.

Kansas season ticket-holders will be asked to present their Creighton game tickets for Tuesday’s game against BU.
