Eugene W. Zule

Leavenworth ? Services for Eugene W. Zule, 86, Leavenworth, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Belden-Sexton-Sumpter Funeral Chapels, Leavenworth. Burial will be in Sunset Memory Cemetery.

Mr. Zule died Sunday, April 6, 2003, at KU Med, Kansas City, Kan.

He was born the son of Charles W. and Pauline (Linaweaver) Zule on Sept. 21, 1916 in McLouth.

He had worked more than 25 years as a truck driver at the Goodjohns Sash and Door Co., and retired as a truck driver from Wicks Lumber, where he worked for more than 10 years. He was a member of the Teamsters.

He married Vivian M. Tarr on October 26, 1936, in Leavenworth. She died December 6, 1992. He married Claudine (Mitchell) Leavitt on April 22, 1994 in Leavenworth. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include three sons, Ronald G., Leavenworth, Charles Larry, Mayetta, and Gary E., Leavenworth; a daughter, Linda G. Patterson, Meriden; a brother, Leo Daryl, Nortonville; 15 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
