She was born May 31, 1978, in Chanute, the daughter of Richard P. and Mary Ruth (Allday) Coulter. She graduated from Chanute High School in 1997. After graduation, she moved to Lawrence. She received her bachelor’s degree in psychology in 2001 from St. Mary’s College.

Ms. Coulter worked at The Farm Inc. in Overland Park as a family support worker. She was also a volunteer at Headquarters crisis intervention center in Lawrence. She had just started the fall semester to complete her master’s degree.

Survivors include her parents, Chanute.
