Two Lawrence residents on Children’s Cabinet

Gov. Bill Graves appointed Patti Hayden and reappointed Reginald Robinson, both of Lawrence, to the Kansas Children’s Cabinet.

The cabinet members make recommendations on how to invest tobacco settlement payments in programs for children.

Hayden is the former first lady of Kansas and works as an elementary school guidance counselor in Lawrence public schools. She has served with the U.S. Department of Education as deputy director for intergovernmental affairs.

Robinson, recently hired as president and CEO of the Kansas Board of Regents, is chief of staff for the chancellor at Kansas University. He was a White House Fellow.
