Teen faces multiple charges, including rape, robbery

Douglas County Sheriff’s deputies arrested an 18-year-old Lawrence man Saturday night on charges of rape, aggravated robbery and possession of a firearm by a felon.

Law enforcement officials were unable to provide further details Saturday, but information on the Douglas County Jail log suggested the arrest stemmed from charges already filed in Douglas County juvenile court.

Saturday was the man’s 18th birthday. He is being held on $15,000 bond.

The Journal-World generally does not identify suspects in sex crimes unless they have been convicted.
