He was born Dec. 28, 1943, in Hutchinson, the son of Harry F. and Alberta (White) Morgan. He graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1961 and from Kansas University in 1966. He graduated from Johnson County Community College in 1998 with a degree in culinary arts.

Mr. Morgan served in the U.S. Army, both in Vietnam and in Germany. He managed Underwood’s Liquor and worked at Kansas University in human resources and as program assistant for KU’s Office for International Programs. He had also worked at Shadow Glen Country Club and at the Hy-Vee on Sixth Street.

Survivors include three brothers, Lawrence, Mill Valley, Calif., Andre, Casper, Wyo., and Harry, Lawrence.
