The Meadowlark 4-H Club met Sept. 10 at the Douglas County 4-H Fairgrounds.

During the meeting, new officers were elected. They are Samie Milligan, president; Shelby Miller, junior president; Margaret Pendleton, vice president; Liz Pendleton, secretary; Michael Hicks, treasurer; Kyle Morgison, reporter; Jamie Morgison, junior reporter; Amy Magnuson, parliamentarian; Will Pendleton, junior parliamentarian; Amelia Magerl and Teahl Peck, song leaders; T.K. Pracht and Derby Miller, recreation leaders; and Samie Milligan and Margaret Pendleton, council representatives.

T.K. Pracht gave a project talk. He received junior champion showmanship in beef and fourth overall with his Hampshire hog in Anderson County.

The club is seeking volunteers to be project leaders. Members decided to decorate a window at Ernst & Son Hardware to celebrate National 4-H Week. Leaders announced the county achievement celebration will be Oct. 27 at the Lawrence Holidome.

The next meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 8 at the fairgrounds. A potluck dinner and Club Achievement Night will take place. Tray favors for Meals on Wheels will also be made. The Club Advisory Committee will be host for the meeting. The club will conduct installation of officers.
