Teddleton trial continued

The trial for a Kansas University football player charged with misdemeanor battery has been continued to Dec. 18.

Brock Teddleton, a junior defensive tackle, had been scheduled to be tried Wednesday in Douglas County District Court. He was charged last spring in connection with a March 9 fight at Jack Flanignan’s Bar and Grill, 806 W. 24th St.

Judge Jack Murphy continued the case because Teddleton’s attorney, Elbridge Griffy, is trying to contact possible witnesses to the incident. Many of them are college students and difficult to locate, Griffy said.

In addition, the victim, who was 19 at the time of the incident, now is attending college in California.
