Lucile Brunson

Mrs. Brunson died Monday, Sept. 16, 2002, at Lawrence Presbyterian Manor.

She was born Aug. 20, 1906, on a farm in Neosho County near Chanute, the daughter of Rodham S. and Sara Jane (Balla) Wiman. She attended school in Garfield County, then moved to Erie and attended Erie High School. She attended Cottey College for girls in Nevada, Mo., and junior college in Parsons.

Mrs. Brunson was the secretary and bookkeeper for her husband’s plumbing business.

She married Leonard Brunson on Oct. 20, 1929, in Chanute. He died in 1950.

Survivors include two cousins.

The family suggests memorials to Presbyterian Manor Good Samaritan Fund, sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
