Mabel Louise Myer

Services for Mabel Louise Myer, 100, Lawrence, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Lawrence Baptist Temple. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Humboldt.

Mrs. Myer died Saturday, Sept. 7, 2002, at Brandon Woods Retirement Community.

She was born June 13, 1902, in Woodson County, the daughter of Albert F. and Bertha L. (Domitz) Orth.

Mrs. Myer was a homemaker who moved to Lawrence in 1951 from Humboldt. She was a member of the Lawrence Baptist Temple.

She married Alfred J. Myer on Jan, 16, 1925, in Humboldt. He died in 1982.

Survivors include seven sons, Elvin, Bellevue, Nebraska; Arthur, Carinth, Tex.; Larry, Duncanville, Tex.; Dale, Eudora; and Carl, John and Gary, all of Lawrence; three daughters, Doris Pavlish, Greenbelt, Maryland; Mary Bellisime, Independence, Mo.; and Connie Ridgway, McLouth; two brothers, Ernest Orth, Humboldt, and Virgil Orth, Payson, Ariz.; one sister, Mildred O’Neal, Tempe, Ariz.; 25 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

A daughter, Peggy Eberhard, died in 1979, and a son, A.J., died in 1949.

Friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. today at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home, where the family will greet them from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today.
