There will be a recruiting rally for establishing a local Marine Corps League Detachment. The rally will be at 6 p.m. Sept. 14 at the American Legion, 3408 W. Sixth St. For membership, a minimum of 15 eligible people are needed. Local officers also are needed. It is open to those who served honorably or are still serving with the Marine Corps or reserves and Navy Medical Corpsmen who served honorably with the Fleet Marine Force.
