She was born April 26, 1913, in Hillsdale, the daughter of Cyrus and Anna (Jones) Chesbro.

Mrs. Lehew worked in the food service industry for 30 years. She retired from Central Junior High School.

She married James Thomason on March 25, 1942, in Kansas City, Mo. He died in 1953.

Survivors include a daughter, Carolyn A. Bennett, Baldwin; and a brother, Damon Chesbro, Wellsville.

The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday at the mortuary.

The family suggests memorials to Lawrence Heights Christian Church, sent in care of the mortuary.
