Worley

Bonnie and Francis Worley, Lawrence, will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with a trip to the Ozarks.

The couple were married Sept. 2, 1942. They have four children: Gary Worley, David Worley, Dennis Worley and Craig Worley. They also have 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Shuck

Byron and Beth Shuck, Ottawa, will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with a reception from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 15 in a building 1/2 mile north of the Zarco Station on U.S. Highway 59.

Beth Kring and Byron Shuck were married Sept. 19, 1942, in Pleasant Grove.

The couple’s children and spouses are: Bud and Dianna Taylor, and Leonard and DeeAnn Shuck, all of Ottawa; Sylvester and Katherine Smith, Olathe; and Carolyn White, Edgerton. They have 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

The couple request no gifts.

Crawford

Susan and Sam Crawford Sr., Eudora, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Friday. A family celebration will be at a later date.

Sam Crawford and Susan Raybern were married Sept. 6, 1952, in Eudora.

The Crawfords are both retired.

Susan worked as the food service director at Eudora USD 491. Sam worked as a construction superintendent in the Kansas City area.

The couple have three children: Sam Crawford Jr. and Linda Abel, both of Eudora; and Richard Crawford, Great Falls, Mont. They also have five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

The couple request no gifts.

Ward

Joanna and Darrell Ward, Lawrence, recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

They were married Aug. 30, 1952, in Enid, Okla., in the Church of Christ.

Darrell and Joanna have been active members of the Church of Christ for 43 years.

They have resided since 1959 in Lawrence, where they both taught in the Lawrence school district until retirement.

During retirement the couple enjoy volunteer work and traveling during the winter.

The couple have three children: Suzie Bowman, Mission; David Ward, Thousand Oaks, Calif.; and Daniel Ward, Lawrence.

They also have six grandchildren.

The couple request no gifts.

Hodson

Linda and Robert Hodson, Lawrence, will celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary with a reception from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday at D.L. Shirk’s barn, 1359 N. 1900 Road.

Linda Fenstemaker and Robert Hodson were married Sept. 9, 1977, at Danforth Chapel in Lawrence. They are both graduates of Lawrence High School. Linda has been employed at Allen Press for 30 years as a machine operator. Robert has been employed with Laird Noller Automotive for 12 years as a courtesy van driver.

The couple have two children: KyLee Wayne Hodson and Kevin Lee Hodson, both of Lawrence. They also have one grandchild.
