The Lone Star 4-H Club met Aug. 12 at Heather and Rebecca Hinshaw’s house. Members were reminded to pick up money from the fair auction Aug. 19 at the extension office.

KAAs are due Monday. If members need help filling them out, call Theresa Flory. On Wednesday, project leaders will be screening KAAs. Pin applications also must be filled out by 4-H’ers and turned in with the record books. Election of officers will be conducted at the next meeting, which will be at Wakarusa Valley School.

India F.C.E. will meet at 1:15 p.m. Thursday at the home of Clenece Hills. The lesson topic will be “One Hundred Fifty Years in Lawrence.”

Kanwaka F.C.E. will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the home of Jean Etherton. The program will be “Health Benefits of Exercise,” presented by Beverly Bourque.
