She was born July 9, 1951, in Wichita, the daughter of Douglas and Marcia (Wist) Garton.

Mrs. Hamm worked for Westar Energy.

She married Robert Hamm. He survives of the home.

Survivors include a son, Michael A. Hamm, Norfolk, Va.; a daughter, Leslie L. Hamm, Lawrence; her mother, Wichita; a brother, Douglas Garton, Douglass; and a grandchild.

The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at All Faiths Funeral Chapel, Wichita.

A rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the church.
