OAKLAND, CALIF. ? The Kansas City Royals recalled outfielder Dee Brown from Triple-A Omaha on Monday.

Brown had spent the entire season in Omaha, hitting .278 with 17 homers and 75 RBIs. He batted .377 in August.

Brown, the Royals’ first-round draft pick in 1996, made Kansas City’s opening day roster last season. He has hit .229 in 138 games with the Royals.
