IN 1977

There was good news at Kansas University when tabulations indicated that research financing for the current academic year would run higher than had been expected. There had been concern about serious drops until some recent grants had come through. KU officials were delighted about the change of fortune for the 1977-78 academic year.

IN 1902

On Sept. 3, 1902, the Lawrence World stated: “A tuition of $2.50 per pupil per term will be charged every resident high school pupil taking full work. The board ordered the superintendent and principal to collect the tuition the first 30 days of school each year.”
