A McLouth man was one of at least three Kansans killed in traffic accidents over the Labor Day weekend, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.

Theron K. Eades III, 23, was killed late Sunday in a one-vehicle accident about four miles northwest of McLouth.

Eades was westbound in his 1986 Chevrolet pickup on Fairview Road near Wellman Road when he lost control on a curve at about 11:50 p.m. Sunday. The truck struck a tree on the side of the road.

Eades was transported by air ambulance to KU Med, Kansas City, Kan., where he died about two hours later. According to Kansas Highway Patrol officers, he was not wearing a seatbelt.

Rocky L. Hysom, 23, of Kingman, was killed early Saturday when the car he was driving crossed the center line on U.S. 54 east of Kingman and collided with an oncoming pickup truck.

Paul A. Guzman-Florez, 19, of Topeka, was killed Saturday afternoon when the car he was driving ran into the back of another car, hit the center median and rolled.
