STILWELL ? Lawrence High will take its entire team to state, and Free State High’s Lacey Baxter will compete in the balance beam and floor exercise at the state gymnastics meet.

LHS placed third at its regional Tuesday at Blue Valley West with 101.80 points. Olathe East won the team title with 107.225, while Olathe South was second with 104.50. Free State was fourth with 98.55 points.

The top three teams and top six individuals in each event advance to state, which will be held Nov. 9 at Olathe South.

Lawrence’s team members are: Molly Hoss, Melissa Bowers, Meredith West, Nicole Jones and Ellie Lloyd. Hoss paced the Lions with a fourth-place finish in the all-around (35.675 points), third-place showing on bars (9.05 points), and runner-up finishes on the beam (9.3) and floor (9.175).

Baxter was regional champion on the beam with 9.35 points and was fifth on floor exercise.
