Oscar L. Emery

Baldwin ? Services for Oscar L. Emery, 82, Baldwin, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Lamb-Roberts-Heise Funeral Home in Baldwin. Inurnment will follow in Prairie City Cemetery, Baldwin.

Mr. Emery died Friday, Oct. 25, 2002, at Baldwin Care Center. He was cremated.

He was born April 25, 1920, in Wellsville, the son of Jess and Verda (Truex) Emery. He moved to the Coal Creek area, where he attended grade school, and then to Ozawkie, where he graduated in 1938 from Ozawkie High School.

After high school Mr. Emery moved to the Baldwin area. He did custom baling in Douglas and Franklin counties and owned and operated a dairy farm.

Survivors include two brothers, Gary, Baldwin, and Eugene, Kansas City, Kan.; and a sister, Maxine Grifham, Alabama.
