Delores Rose Miller

Mrs. Miller died Monday, Oct. 28, 2002, at her home.

She was born Dec. 30, 1932, in Louisiana, Mo., the daughter of Edward Nelson and Helen May (Rose) Chappell. She moved in 1937 to Lawrence and attended Lawrence public schools.

Mrs. Miller was in charge of the Wescoe Hall cafeteria at Kansas University and later worked in food service for the Lawrence school district. She retired in 1993.

She married Richard C. Miller on July 4, 1948, in Topeka. He survives, of the home.

Other survivors include two daughters, Carolyn Jones, Lawrence, and Vicki Icenhower, Emporia, and five grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to the American Diabetes Foundation. They may be sent in care of Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.
