ECKAN needs delivery drivers

Agency: ECKAN

Address: 1600 Haskell Ave. No. 197

Contact Person: Deborah Hamlin, 841-3357

ECKAN needs volunteers to hand out commodities on a monthly or bimonthly basis. Volunteers hand out food to low-income adults and children either from the office, or on delivery for homebound clients. Food is typically given out on the fourth Thursday of the month, and volunteers work three to six hours during business hours. Volunteers must have a valid drivers license; they should keep in mind that delivery packages may be heavy. ECKAN hopes to find two or three volunteers willing to make a commitment every month.

ECKAN also needs volunteers to help with office duties. A couple of volunteers from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays could help answer phones and greet clients.
