Seabury's Pottorff sixth

Burlington  Seabury Academy's Katie Pottorff finished sixth in the girls race of the Burlington Cross Country Invitational on Thursday. Seabury's Regan Sisson placed 10th, finishing in 13:48. Adam Davis was the top Seabury boys' runner, placing 10th at 18:50.

Firebirds lose three

Overland Park  Free State High's volleyball team lost all three of its matches Thursday in a triangular at Blue Valley Northwest. The Firebirds, 10-17, lost to Shawnee Mission Northwest, 11-15, 14-16; Blue Valley Northwest, 15-9, 9-15, 9-15; and Kansas City Ward, 10-15, 13-15.

Baldwin, McLouth tops

Baldwin's Erica Ogle and McLouth's Courtney Edmonds each won their league girls cross country championship Thursday at Rim Rock Farm. Four other Baldwin girls finished in the top 10 Â Denise Orloff third, Michelle Pressgrove fifth, Abby Hofmeier seventh and Missy Westgate ninth.
