Regents ban credit card solicitations

The Kansas Board of Regents voted Thursday morning to ban credit card solicitations on campus a minimum of the first two weeks of a semester.

The ban would also go into effect for the last week of the semester.

In addition, the policy also requires that information on the responsible use of credit and the risks of credit use shall be provided to students along with any material soliciting credit card applications.

The move had been requested by the student body presidents of Regents schools.
