Lawrence Police are looking for a man who robbed a convenience store early Wednesday morning.

About 2 a.m. a man armed with a handgun entered Kwik Shop, 1420 Kasold Drive, confronted a clerk and demanded money from the cash register, Sgt. Mike Pattrick said.

The 20-year-old male clerk complied and the robber was last seen running north from the store, Pattrick said. Police were called. The amount of money taken was not released. No customers were in the store at the time.

An investigation is continuing and police are reviewing the store’s security video tape, Pattrick said.
