KU women’s golf ties for third place

? The Kansas University women’s golf team finished tied for third at the Marilynn Smith Sunflower Invitational on Tuesday, shooting a three-round season-best 924 at Willowbend Golf Club.

The Jayhawks tied with Texas A&M Corpus Christi, and finished 14 strokes back of second place UTEP. Kansas State won the 17-team tournament with a 903.

Senior Heather Rose shot a third-round 75, finishing seventh overall, while teammate Jennifer Bawanan was one place back. Her final-round 76 put her at 228.
