She was born Feb. 2, 1916, in Lawrence, the daughter of Earl and Sarah J. (Barnes) Stephens. She graduated from Liberty Memorial High School in Lawrence. She had lived in Topeka for 30 years.

Mrs. McClung was a homemaker and member of United Methodist Church.

She married Milton B. McClung in January 1935. He died June 20, 1997.

Survivors include two sons, Gary McClung, Topeka, and Milton Richard McClung, Oskaloosa; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday at Barnett Funeral Home in Oskaloosa.

The family suggests memorials to the organization of the donor’s choice.
