Eudora wins two at home quad

? The Eudora High volleyball team got off to a slow start but rebounded for two wins at a Tuesday quad.

The Cardinals fell in their first match to Prairie View, 15-10, 14-16, 5-15, then beat Osawatomie, 15-13, 15-9, and Louisburg, 15-6, 15-5.

Eudora coach Jill Stutler said she was glad her team finished on a positive note, but wished it could have notched a win in that first match.

“We should have finished it when we needed to in the second game,” she said. “We just didn’t do the things we needed to do on our side of court. We got in a hole from the very start.”

Eudora’s Lauren Kracl, who notched 91 kills during a tournament last weekend at Wellsville, had 32 kills Tuesday.

Kayla Moyer had 11 aces for the Cardinals, which pleased Stutler.

“(Moyer) served the ball very well for us and scored some big points,” she said. “It was our senior night and we finished on a strong note.”
