KU soccer rallies to top Tech

Kansas University’s women’s soccer team scored two second-half goals to rally for a 2-1 Big 12 victory Saturday at Texas Tech.

Trailing 1-0 at halftime, the Jayhawks tied the game on a header by Brianna Valento off a penalty kick by Lindsay Hunting in the 76th minute. KU secured the game-winning goal when Jessica Smith scored on a header off a cross by Amy Geha at the 89:36 mark.

Kansas goalkeeper Meghan Miller made two saves for the Jayhawks, who improved to 8-2-2 overall and 2-1-1 in the Big 12.

The Red Raiders fell to 2-10 and 0-4.
