He was born July 29, 1961, in Lawrence, the son of Howard and Doris (Evans) Sloan. He graduated from Lawrence High School in 1979 and had lived in Lawrence all his life.

Mr. Sloan was a dry wall installer.

He married Lori Bray in July 1980. They later divorced.

Survivors include a son, Sam, Colorado; a daughter, Lindy Morgan, Cheyenne, Wyo.; his parents, Howard, Lawrence, and Doris Evans Rees, McLouth; two brothers, Terry and Zachary, both of Lawrence; a sister, Cindy Post, Lawrence; and a grandchild.

Friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. today at the mortuary.

The family suggests memorials to a charity of the donor’s choice, sent in care of the mortuary.
