 A 19-year-old Lawrence man told Lawrence Police Friday someone took items from his room in a residence in the 1600 block of Tennessee Street. Missing were a boombox radio, guitar and 64 compact discs. Losses were listed at $1,789.
 A stereo, rings and jewelry were taken from a residence in the 1900 block of East 18th Street, a 23-year-old woman reported Tuesday to Lawrence Police. Police discovered a screen had been removed from a window to gain entry. Losses were listed at $2,750.
 Someone scratched the body of a 1999 Ford Taurus parked in the 3100 block of West 22nd Street, a 21-year-old man told Lawrence Police on Tuesday. Damage was listed at $2,200.
 A “crude, homemade explosive device” was used to damage a mailbox in the 500 section of East 1600 Road, according to a Douglas County Sheriff’s report. Residents in the area reported hearing an explosion about 2 a.m. Monday. Damage was listed at $7.
