Lili has teams scrambling

? Louisiana sports teams altered practice schedules and moved up travel plans Wednesday as Hurricane Lili sped toward the Gulf Coast carrying winds of 120 mph.

Lili was expected to hit land today, and residents in Texas and low-lying areas of southwest Louisiana were told to evacuate.

The New Orleans Saints moved their practice up by three hours, wanting to be off the field well before Lili’s advance storms began rolling in.

The NBA’s Hornets went through their second day of training camp since relocating from Charlotte, N.C., but they put off any decisions for the rest of the week until they were sure where the storm would hit.

At LSU, classes for today and a volleyball match against Kentucky were canceled. The school expected Saturday night’s game against Louisiana-Lavayette to go on as scheduled, however.
