She was born Oct. 6, 1927, in Lecompton, the daughter of William Gerald and Gladys (Dark) Holloway. She graduated from Lecompton Rural High School in May 1945.

Mrs. Harrell worked at Santa Fe Railway Offices in Topeka, Topeka Supply Depot and Kansas University. She was a member of Lecompton United Methodist Church, a life member of Lecompton Historical Society, Lecompton Sunshine Club, and American Legion Auxiliary, Eagles Auxiliary and REAC, all of Lawrence.

She married Raymond L. Anderson in December 1948. He died in 1963. She married John E. Harrell on Nov. 11, 1971. He died in October 1996.

Survivors include a son, Lawrence G. Anderson, Lecompton; two sisters, Doris M. Sindt, Lawrence, and Lura I. McAlexander, Lecompton; two granddaughters; and three great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. today at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home, where family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. today.
