She was born Feb. 23, 1927, in Ozawkie, the daughter of Wilbur C. and Ethel M. (Laird) Brown. She attended school in Valley Falls. She moved to Meriden from Topeka in 1959.

Mrs. Martin was a homemaker. She was also a member of Meriden United Methodist Church.

She married Gerald T. Martin on April 2, 1947, in Oskaloosa. He survives of the home.

Other survivors include two sons, Larry Dean Martin, Valley Falls, and Keith G. Martin, Topeka; three sisters, Maxine Beerbower, Lampe, Mo., Dorma Allen, Meriden, and Harriett Tullis, McLouth; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren

Friends may call after 10 a.m. today at the funeral chapel, where family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. today.
