Fay H. Seetin

He was born April 21, 1914, in Kanawaki, the son of George J. and Irene (Harrison) Seetin. He attended Perry Rural High School and had lived in Perry since 1953.

Mr. Seetin was a farmer and stockman in the Perry area from 1953 until he retired in 1986. He served in the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1945 in World War II. He was involved in five campaigns and the Battle of the Bulge. He was a member of Perry United Methodist Church.

He married Thelma Grace Ogden on April 24, 1949, in Idana. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include a son, Michael P., Perry; a daughter, Ruth Ann Nofster; four brothers, Elbert “Skid” and David, both of Kansas City, Kan., and Hugh and Roy, both of Perry; a sister, Reba Bigelow, Seattle; five grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.

Friends may call after 9 a.m. Wednesday at Barnett Funeral Home in Oskaloosa, where the family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday.
