Betty Banzon and Michael Anderson, both of Ottawa, announce their engagement.

The future bride is the daughter of Mary York, Ontario, Calif., and the late Garlan York.

She is a graduate of Warren High School, Downey, Calif. She spent many years in the retail business. She owned a dry cleaning plant in California for 11 years.

The future groom is the son of Duane Anderson, Ottawa, and Alice Medina, Overland Park.

He is an Ottawa High School graduate. He received a bachelor’s degree in agronomy from Kansas State University. He is a farmer.

The couple plan a Jan. 4, 2003, wedding in Alta Loma, Calif.

Margolis-Stewart

John and Kazuko Stewart, Lawrence, announce the engagement of their son, Ken Stewart, to Traci Margolis, both of Denver.

The future bride is the daughter of Dan and Edie Margolis, Lititz, Pa. She is a graduate of Manheim Township High School and the University of Richmond, where she received a bachelor’s degree in marketing and international business. She is a manager for Accenture in Denver.

The future groom is a Wichita Southeast High School graduate. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Kansas University. He is an information technology systems engineer for Qwest Communications in Denver.

The couple plan an April 5, 2003, wedding in Lancaster, Pa.
