Haskell’s Kalfsbeck earns All-CSFL berth
Matt Kalfsbeck, a junior linebacker for Haskell Indian Nations University, has been named to the All-Central States Football League team as chosen by league coaches.
Kalfsbeck, a 6-foot, 205-pounder from Sarasota, Fla., helped the Fightin’ Indians post the second-best total defense numbers in the five-team league, trailing only league champ Northwestern Oklahoma State.
Haskell’s Dale Black Cloud, a 6-0, 260-pound sophomore offensive lineman, earned a second-team berth as did punter Peter Hahn.
Hahn led the CSFL with a 36.03 average per punt, but Preston Kysar of Northwestern Oklahoma earned the first-team slot despite finishing second in the league with a 35.37 average.
