Men’s top six unchanged

The top six teams in The Associated Press college basketball poll held their spots from last week, and the only change came at the bottom with Wisconsin moving in at No. 25.

Arizona, Kansas, Texas, Alabama, Pittsburgh and Duke were Nos. 1-6 for the second straight week.

The Wildcats (1-0) opened the season with a 107-68 victory against Western Kentucky, a loss that dropped the Hilltoppers out of the Top 25. Arizona received 60 first-place votes and 1,740 points from the national media panel.

Kansas University (2-0), which beat Holy Cross and North Carolina-Greensboro to advance to the semifinals of the Preseason NIT, had nine first-place votes and 1,679 points.

Pittsburgh, which beat Duquesne 82-67 in its opener last week, was the only other team to receive a No. 1 vote.

Florida, which also advanced to the semifinals of the Preseason NIT, and Oklahoma traded places from last week and were ranked seventh and eight.
