Raiders’ Upshaw fined
Alameda, Calif. ? Oakland defensive end Regan Upshaw was fined $87,000 by coach Bill Callahan for a confrontation with offensive line coach Aaron Kromer two weeks ago, CBS Sports reported.
Upshaw then filed a grievance against the Raiders on Thursday as an appeal to the fine, which amounted to about a week’s pay, CBS reported on “The NFL Today” and SportsLine.com.
Upshaw, the team’s sacks leader last year who’s recovering from knee surgery, was activated from the “physically unable to perform” list to the 53-man roster Wednesday.
He was not active for the Raiders’ 41-20 win Sunday at Arizona, but he did travel with the team.
When asked about the incident while leaving the field, Upshaw said he had no comment.
Callahan said something had happened, however.
