CHAPEL HILL, N.C. ? Paced by Gwen HaleyâÂÂs second-place finish, Kansas UniversityâÂÂs swimming and diving team still was fourth Friday in the 10-team Nike Cup Invitational.

Haley was second in the 400 IM with a time of 4:24.32.

âÂÂOur relays swam well,â KU coach Clark Campbell said, âÂÂand Gwen HaleyâÂÂs second-place finish was outstanding for this point in the season.âÂÂ

The 2002 Nike Cup invitational concludes today. The Jayhawks will play host to Texas A&M at noon on Dec. 7 in Robinson Natatorium.
