He was born Jan. 20, 1918, in Leroy, the son of James Thomas and Agnes Viola (Foster) Harrell.

Mr. Harrell had his own window-washing business in Lawrence and had worked for Stokely-Van Camp for more than 13 years.

Survivors include three sons, Fred, Timothy and Jeffrey, all of Lawrence; three sisters, Eva Jean Hardesty, Milton, Fla., Twila Haney, Pittsburg, and Leota Auld, Manhattan; and four grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to the Harrell Memorial Fund, sent in care of Lawrence Funeral Chapel.
