Luse services

? Services for Stella L. Luse, 82, McLouth, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at McLouth United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Leavenworth.

Mrs. Luse died Monday, Nov. 18, 2002, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

She was born Feb. 29, 1920, in the Springdale community of Leavenworth County, the daughter of James Robert and Dora (Hein) Tullis. She had lived in McLouth since 1963. She graduated from McLouth High School in 1937.

Mrs. Luse was city clerk in McLouth from 1974 until her retirement in 1999. She also assisted the mayor of McLouth for several years before her employment.

She was a member of McLouth First Baptist Church, McLouth Senior Citizens, American Legion Auxiliary Unit No. 393 of McLouth, Wednesday Morning “Home Alone Gang” and Springdale Friends Circle Club.

She married Theodore Derrell Luse on April 12, 1941, in McLouth. He died April 10, 1987.

Survivors include a son, Robert E. Luse, McLouth; two brothers, John Tullis and Robert Tullis, both of McLouth; and three grandchildren.

Friends may call after 10 a.m. today at Barnett Funeral Home in Oskaloosa, where the family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. today.
